MINISTER REMONGAR DENNIS

MINISTER PLENIPOTENTIARY/DEPUTY PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE 

Mr. Remongar Dennis, Liberia’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations was born December 24, 1956, in Tipenneh Town, Grand Bassa County, Liberia.

His first entry into Government Service was 1976 as a Cadet in the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism, Monrovia.  He was appointed Assistant Director of the Overseas Press Bureau in the Ministry in 1980 upon graduation from the University of Liberia. Mr. Dennis was transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1981 as Director of Publications and Printing. He became Director of Passports and Visas in 1986.

Mr. Dennis was appointed Assistant Foreign Minister for International Cooperation and Economic Affairs in which position he served from 1987-1996. He was appointed Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations Affairs from 1996 – 2000.

Being an active member of the Foreign Policy Advisory Committee and Advisor in the Office of the Minister of Foreign affairs, he remains at the height of Liberia’s Foreign Policy Decision for many years attending most international conferences on several continents.

Mr. Dennis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of Liberia; a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Graduate School of International Relations at the International University of Japan (IUJ);  with professional training certificates from Switzerland,  South Korea, and United States.
